The Senate passed their defense appropriations bill today. Each chamber will now appoint members to a conference committee that will work out differences between the House bill, which included $25 million for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program-Neurofibromatoais Program (CDMRP-NFRP), and the Senate bill passed today.
Once negotiated, the final bill is expected to be passed by both the House and the Senate and then sent to the President for his signature. We are cautiously optimistic that the final bill will preserve the $25 million that was included in the House bill.
Thank you to all of our supporters who supported our Advocacy program. Our work is done for this year, and we will announce the final result as soon as the bill passes.
