I was diagnosed with NF1 when I was about 6 or 7 years old. I have 3-4 plexiform neurofibromas. I have healed scoliosis (I had surgery as a child). I am a lawyer and I live in Turkey.
Beside those I have neurofibroma stem field from my spinal cord, and it’s close to my uterus. One day this will make pregnancy difficult. I also have neuropathy, though I am not sure that my neuropathy is a consequence from NF.
Despite learning issues, I became a lawyer. Being a lawyer is hard; you have to study lots of codes, read lots of books, and you have to study all the time, but I work hard at being successful.
I always try to be at peace with all my diseases. I don’t know what more I can say about who I am. I am a person who has NF. And that’s not [the most] important thing of my life. I love people, animals I love them because they are living, breathing things.
