I was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 in July 2017, when I was 8 years old.
People can be so mean and stare, so I had to learn how to be strong and resilient. So it impacted my life by making me stronger. At the moment, it is not going to impact any future plans.
The unconditional love given by my family is what keeps me strong. I also have really cool friends that don’t care what I look like. I stay motivated because my mom reminds me things could be worse. Right now I’m like any other 11 year old, I just look slightly different.
I enjoy gaming, trying new restaurants, sleeping, and asking my mom millions of questions. I’m in 7th grade virtually and I’m responsible for taking out the trash and cleaning my room.
