Today, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations approved the FY 2019 Department of Defense Appropriations Bill, which includes $15 million in funding for Neurofibromatosis (NF) research. This funding level represents Congress’ continued support for NF research, demonstrates research is a critical part of the United States Military mission, and is a direct result of strong advocacy efforts by the Children’s Tumor Foundation and NF community. The legislation will now be considered by the full U.S. House of Representatives. CTF will provide updates on the legislation’s progress.
