From Wired Magazine – The Fall and Rise of Gene Therapy

By September 11, 2013December 18th, 2023Awareness, Publications, Science & Research

I posted this article on Facebook and Twitter, but was prompted to post it to our blog after mentioning it on our “Ask me Anything” webinar last night.

We get asked often about gene therapy for NF, and there are some early stage projects underway. The Fall and Rise of Gene Therapy in Wired is a good history of what went wrong – and what is going right today.  Be sure to read the comments to the article, as the father of Jesse Gelsinger writes about the flaws in the original project that led to his son’s death, with a link to the FDA review.
