Children’s Tumor Research Advisory Board member Dr. Cristina Fernandez-Valle has secured over $2M in federal funding to advance her NF2 research at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Fernandez-Valle was among the handfulof NF researchers to secure an ARRA Challenge Grant from NIH and one of only two researchers to be funded for a brand new research project through the Recovery Act. In addition her research secured another major research grant from NIH this summer.
