Politico leaked a draft of the House Committee on Appropriations FY 2020 Defense Report this evening that included $15 million in funding for neurofibromatosis (NF) research through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP). The bill’s $15 million in NF funding is a direct result of strong advocacy efforts and outreach to key policymakers by the Children’s Tumor Foundation and you, the NF Community. This continued funding represents Congress’ commitment to NF research and exhibits research is a critical component of the military mission.
