Stories of NF: Eddie P.

I was diagnosed at birth with NF. I had a tumor around my eye, which involved removing my eye. It has been challenging playing sports, driving and skiing with one eye.

I grew up in Wisconsin, went to University Denver, graduated with a degree in Finance and am currently employed at Brown Brothers Harriman. I don’t let NF hold me back and feel like I can do anything I put my mind to. I love being in the outdoors, hiking, skiing, and going out with friends. Because I have dealt with NF and over 20 surgeries, it has made me stronger to deal with any bumps in the road.

WE are involved with CTF raising money and awareness for NF so research can continue and we can find a cure! For the future, I hope through genetic advancements they will find a cure or how to correct the NF gene so NF patients do not pass down the gene.
