Stories of NF: Micki

I was diagnosed with NF1 by change at age 25. NF has slowed me down some but not much. I have always been active in sports, I enjoy biking, hiking, golf and playing softball. I have completed a graduate degree despite my learning disability.

Having NF definitely hard and I struggle most days, but I have to stay strong. I have people who depend on me to show up and get things done. I face my struggles/battles head on.

I enjoy being outside, my dream job would be to an outdoor guide. I am currently a rehabilitation counselor at psychiatric hospital and have been working there twenty years.
