Join us in celebrating Children’s Tumor Foundation president, Dr. Annette Bakker, on her 10 year anniversary with the Foundation. Donations made in honor of Annette will be matched dollar for dollar. Please see the letter below, from CTF Board Chair, Tracy Galloway.
Dear friends of the NF community,
When my daughter was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (NF) over a decade ago, I found the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF), and learned very quickly that this is the organization that is going to find a cure for NF.
Over the past decade, the Children’s Tumor Foundation has revolutionized NF research – from knocking down barriers that hamper scientific discovery, to accelerating innovative collaborative models based on open science, to attracting essential new partners to the NF field. Today, we have an approved drug in 12 countries, have tripled the number of NF clinical trials, there are over 10 companies with drugs in clinical NF trials, and promising advances in gene therapy and delivery are on the horizon.
Driving this innovation has been the Foundation’s President, Dr. Annette Bakker. Her infectious and deep commitment to finding treatments for all forms of NF – NF1, NF2, and schwannomatosis – is truly inspiring. She is formidable, which means NF will not win.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of Annette having joined CTF, and, in support of Annette’s vision to END NF, several donors have generously come together to match dollar for dollar (up to $20,000) YOUR donation.
This means more effective treatments and more HOPE for the future.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have your contribution matched today. Please join me in donating NOW, and let’s end NF together.
Sincerely,
Tracy Galloway

P.S. Special thanks to Erica Hartman-Horvitz and Richard Horvitz, Richard and Faye Soll, Courtney and David Marshall, along with several anonymous donors, for funding the match.
