The British Journal of Cancer Research published an article co-written by the Children's Tumor Foundation about Synodos, the collaboriative initiative that CTF launched in 2014 to bring together interdisciplinary ‘dream teams’ of scientists, clinicians, technicians, and other experts working in concert with the aim of finding solutions to the unique problems that affect NF patients. Every Synodos project was driven by patients, properly funded, grounded in multidisciplinary global collaboration and data sharing, and managed by the foundation staff. In this article, the authors describe the Synodos networks, shared wins and learnings, and concluded by highlighting the changes that will be made to the next wave of Synodos projects.
