Led by Elaine Keating, the NF Endurance Cleveland Marathon Team will take the course on Sunday, May 16, 2010 and ruNFor a reason. Check out the team page here and help them reach their goal of $10,000 for the Children’s Tumor Foundation. For more information about the Cleveland team and one of their NF Heroes, Garrett Pavlic, check out this past e-blast. Click here for a look back on the 2009 NF Endurance Cleveland crew. And, Lisa Quinn will captain the RuNFor the Red Pocono NFE Team as they strive for a goal of $15,000 for the Foundation. Steve Kendra and Molly Fisher will be staffing the pasta dinner on Saturday night and coaching course side on Sunday. If you live in the Cleveland or near the Poconos, come out and cheer these NFE runners across the finish line.

Listen to this song from Ben Leathers for his “Momma” on Mothers day… three days late(yes, we know Mother’s Day was four days ago, but the song was created ‘three days late’). Ben currently lives in Los Angeles, Calif., working as a composer and musician. Some of his current projects include working for National Geographic and working as a sound engineer for shows such as Lost and Family Guy. His brother Drew battles Schwanoomatosis, the rarest form of NF. The Leathers family has been actively involved with the Children’s Tumor Foundation through their fundraising team, the Tumornators.

“How INCREDIBLE! What a weekend! I have been to many a marathon, but I can honestly say I have never seen that much NEON on a race course! Sadly, ol Drewf was not able to make it to the pasta dinner, but it was due to exhaustion from an AMAZING excursion with some great friends who came and picked him up for a day at the mall and a movie (something, selfishly I wouldn’t trade for the world). It was also the first time I’ve felt like I was getting my brother back.”
